Our Christmas tree is up. The boys were so excited decorating it we were afraid they would spontaneously combust. Warren would take an ornament and just start bouncing. He would be bouncing so much he couldn't hang it, so he'd pass it off to one of us and start running around the living room saying, "I'm just so excited!" Sometimes he'd calm down enough to finally hang it himself.
We had a wonderful visit with Paul (our BI Myanmar Society coordinator) and were able to get some much needed work done with him. He left Thursday morning and we gained a new appreciation for what we put everyone through when we're getting ready to catch a flight from overseas! We've been able to get a few major projects done - Birch is transferring BI's mail server, and Connie finished and mailed 200 Christmas cards. However, we still haven't finished unpacking our suitcases from Maine. We've got to finish unpacking them so we can start packing for our four months in Asia.
Pray for us as these weeks will only get busier and crazier. We're scheduled to take a week off at Christmas which we really want to do, but it will be hard to make ourselves take the time.
Pray for the short termers going with us, several still have funds they need to raise. They all will be gone a really long time from friends and family. Two of the mothers were sharing how hard it was for them to have them gone so long and to trust God to care for them on the other side of the world. So all you moms who can relate to what they are going through, please pray for the mothers as well. Pray for Staci as well even though she’s not able to come on this trip.
Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Christmas season. It's such a wonderful time to share what God has done with our families and those we meet.
