Birch Champeon: I was saved at the age of 4 through the ministry of my Sunday School teacher. When I was 8, I made a public commitment to missions. God clearly led me to study computer science in college, but I struggled with the burden He had given me as a child for missionary work. After College I took a 2 week missions trip with Bible translation consultants to Venezuela. A couple years later I returned for 10 months but God did not lead into full time service. I returned to Maine, continued to do computer programming and ministered in my church. Two years later God brought Connie into my life. During our first trip to India God brought all the pieces together: my burden for missions, my training and 5 years experience in computer programming, my teaching experience and my new found passion for giving people the Word of God.

Connie Champeon: I grew up on the mission field of Brazil. At the age of 15, I put my faith in the Lord. In college I began working at Bibles International. I heard of the need to teach people to read the Word of God. Soon, God gave me a burden to help people read the word of God. I went to graduate school to train to be a literacy consultant, joined Baptist Mid-Missions in 1993, and began working with Bibles International in 1995. I completed my Ph.D. work in 1999 and returned to Maine for the summer. It was at this time I met my future husband and God led us to minister for Him together.
